A Message from Business Manager Mark Burri
Thank you for your patience as we continue to monitor and make adjustments to accommodate Local 467 members' needs and concerns throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, while also focusing on a safe re-opening of construction throughout San Mateo County. As the county works to limit the spread of COVID-19 within our community, you may be aware that the county will utilize contact tracing, a process that identifies individuals who may have been exposed to the virus and warns them of exposure in order to stop chains of transmission. While contact tracing will help minimize transmission of the virus, it comes with privacy concerns. We understand Local 467 members’ privacy concerns and we conveyed those concerns to the county and our employers.
In order to comply with the San Mateo County Shelter-In-Place order, everyone entering job sites is required to provide their name, phone number, home address, and personal email address. If you decide not to provide the information, your access to the work site may be limited.
While we understand this may be frustrating for some, it’s critical that we comply with the San Mateo County public health officer’s directive to ensure we continue to move forward with the safety and well-being of everyone in mind. Local 467 continues to take your concerns seriously and we appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
In solidarity,
Mark Burri
Business Manager
